Pneumatic hydraulic slip ring in satellite antenna deployment mechanisms

Time: 07, 08 2025 Views: 1

The special feature of the gas-liquid slip ring is that it adopts a non-contact design, with the core being rotary sealing technology. For aerospace-grade products, more factors must be considered, such as the material's performance at space temperatures, radiation resistance, and fluid behavior in a microgravity environment.

The gas-liquid slip rings used in satellite antennas must also pass thermal vacuum tests, vibration tests, and life tests. These data are crucial in the actual selection process, so the satellite antenna deployment mechanism requires extremely high reliability, as it cannot be repaired in space. Fluid transmission for satellite antennas may involve hydraulic oil or gaseous media. This requires both ensuring the sealing of the rotary joint and achieving continuous fluid transmission. Traditional mechanical rotary joints are prone to leakage in a vacuum environment, and the satellite deployment mechanism requires repeated movements.

Normally, in satellite antenna deployment mechanisms, the gas-liquid slip rings used for fluid transmission (usually hydraulic oil or inert gas) need to meet stringent aerospace requirements such as extremely high reliability, long life, vacuum compatibility, extreme temperature resistance, and micro-leakage control.
